1. About these terms

Mythic Mandarin (mythicmandarin.com) is an independent Chinese-learning project run by Konstantin Aleksandrov in Bulgaria. These terms apply when you use mythicmandarin.com. Contact: hello@mythicmandarin.com.

2. An independent project

Mythic Mandarin is not affiliated with Chinese Testing International (CTI) or any official HSK body. It is not an official HSK course, it does not issue HSK certificates, and it cannot guarantee any exam result. “HSK” is used only to describe the level a lesson is written for.

3. Learning content

The content is for personal learning and general information. Stories are drafted with the help of software, checked by machine and then checked by a native Chinese reviewer. While that review is in progress, a published story is marked “Preview version — Chinese review in progress” and may contain mistakes. Please do not treat it as certified learning material.

Hanzi Warrior is a free learning game. Its word lists are a study aid, not an official HSK word list, and its Chinese has not yet been checked by our native Chinese reviewer, so it may contain mistakes. Please do not treat it as certified learning material. Game progress is saved only in your browser and is lost if you clear your browser data.

4. How you may use the website

You may use Mythic Mandarin for your own personal learning. You may not:

  • copy, republish, sell or redistribute premium content, or share your All Access login with others;
  • scrape or bulk-download the website with automated tools;
  • try to get around access controls or interfere with the website’s security or operation.

If an account is used against these terms (for example shared logins, scraping or fraud), we may suspend its access. We will tell you by email.

5. Intellectual property

The stories, texts, design, code and the Hanzi Warrior game belong to Mythic Mandarin (Konstantin Aleksandrov) unless stated otherwise. Third-party materials, such as the CC-CEDICT dictionary data and the Hanzi Writer stroke data, are used under their own licences and remain with their owners.

6. All Access

All Access is being prepared and is not on sale at the moment: while the story library is in preview, every story is free to read. When All Access goes on sale, it will cost €99 as a one-time payment for lifetime access to the premium story levels (HSK 3 to 6 and the Level 7 to 9 tracks), with no subscription.

Before any payment, you will receive the price, the payment instructions and the seller’s details. Your access is switched on after payment.

7. Availability and changes

We work to keep the website available and correct, but we cannot promise that it will always be available without interruption or free of errors. Free features and the website’s design may change over time.

8. Your rights as a consumer

Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have under mandatory consumer protection law.

9. Changes to these terms and contact
